Our services
When you schedule a Home Energy Audit, we will provide the following assessment services:
- Infrared Camera: The thermal camera allows our Green Team to find issues in the building’s “envelope” that can’t be seen by the naked eye. This is one of the best tools for diagnosing the areas of your home that lead to comfort issues. We’ll let you take control of the camera too!
- Duct Blaster: Much like a home, an HVAC duct system also leaks quite a bit of air; 20-40% on average. We pressurize your duct system to verify the amount of its air-loss and the need for improvements.
- Blower Door Test: This measures the amount of air leaking in (infiltration) and out (exfiltration) of your home. The infiltration and exfiltration of air in your home removes conditioned air you’re paying to heat and cool. This decreases your comfort, making your system work harder, and costing you money. Our Blower Door not only tests the amount of air you are losing, but along with a thermal camera and some intuitive knowledge, it helps us find the areas where you’re losing it as well.
- Combustion Safety: Most of this test takes place in the Combustion Appliance Zone “CAZ” where we are assessing the home’s furnace, boiler and hot-water heater to make sure that no harmful by-products of incomplete combustion are lingering in your living space. This is especially important in older homes, as old equipment fails after time and local codes may not have been enforced as they should have!

Why should I get a home energy audit?
A home energy audit identifies the specific issues causing high utility bills and comfort problems in your home. Without proper testing, problems like air leaks, duct leakage, and insulation gaps remain invisible. The diagnostic tools used during an audit—including thermal cameras and blower door tests—reveal exactly where conditioned air is escaping and where improvements are needed. This targeted approach ensures you invest in upgrades that will actually make a difference, rather than guessing at solutions that may not address the real problems.
